Commissioners Still Looking At Blountville Middle And Elementary Schools For Community Use

At Tuesday night’s Sullivan County Commission meeting, commissioners deferred action that would allow Sullivan County to take control of two recently closed Blountville Schools for possible community use. County Attorney Dan Street is researching and reviewing boundaries on property where Blountville Middle and Elementary Schools are located. While no action was taken at Tuesday night’s meeting. County Mayor Richard Venable says discussions on the property will continue.The resolution was rolled over to next months meeting while boundary and title document research on the property continues.
