Jonesborough Aldermen, Compromise, Approve Outdoor Seating Request For Distillery
An issue of providing safety and an issue of trust, plus compromise changed the mind of one Jonesborough alderman and that was enough to approve an outdoor seating request for the The Tennessee Hill’s Disillery, co-owned by Stephan Callahan, who is also a Jonesborough Alderman. Alderman Terry Countermine, previously had concerns about the request and was bombarded by social media and emails from those who supported the request. Countermine compromised and voted yes, but not before he said this at Thursday nights meeting. The approval also comes with amendments to the town’s outdoor seating policy. Those proposed changes will be addressed at upcoming meetings.
