Kingsport, Sullivan Officials Dedicated Junior Godsey EMS Station

More than twenty years ago, seven people lost their lives in severe flash flooding in Carter County. Among those killed was Kingsport resident, and Sullivan County EMS paramedic Junior Godsey. Godsey was a member of a boat crew that went into the raging waters in rescue attempts and didn’t come back out. On Friday, Kingsport and Sullivan County officials dedicated it’s newest EMS station. Station Number Eight, located on Gibson Mill Road is now named in honor of Junior Godsey and is open and serving the public.
