Local non-profit café takes part in National Everybody Eats Week
A local non-profit restaurant, One Acre Café, announced they are participating in the upcoming National Everybody Eats week. This movement is made up of non-profit cafes across the country that strive to decrease food insecurity among poverty-stricken communities. The organization, One World, Everybody Eats, says this week-long campaign is to help communities understand the power they have to ensure a table for everybody and end hunger. Johnson City’s One Acre Café says they are participating next week by serving a special regional menu each day, as well as holding giveaways and more surprises. The National Everybody Eats Week is August 22nd through the 28th. Community members are encouraged to volunteer with the café, or just have a meal and donate what you can as payment.
