First Confirmed Death In Hurley, Virginia Flood
Search and rescue teams have located the first confirmed fatality from this weeks severe flooding in the Hurley community of Buchanan County, Virginia. The body was discovered in the Guesses Fork area of Hurley on Tuesday afternoon. An autopsy is being conducted on the so far unidentified body. Meanwhile, more residents were evacuated Tuesday after officials became concerned of additional mudslides occurring, this time in the 9000 block of Hurley Road. And officials are estimating it will be at least thirty days for power to be fully restored and up to a year for public water to be restored. A boil water alert is also in effective.
