Household hazardous waste collection service coming to Gray, TN
The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Hazardous Waste Collection is coming to Gray to assist area residents in clearing their households of unwanted materials. Household hazardous waste includes any unwanted corrosive, flammable, or reactive materials used for vehicles, homes, or lawn and gardens. Examples of items accepted include paint thinner, pesticides, coolants, and pharmaceuticals. Participants are asked to keep materials in their original containers and double package if leaking. Upon arrival, residents will be asked what county they live in and from how many households they are bringing waste. This free hazardous waste disposal service happens in the parking lot of Daniel Boone High School on September 11th from 9 AM to 1 PM.
