The City of Bristol, Virginia announced limitations to public government meetings. City officials say due to the increased spread of COVID-19 cases, and stress placed on regional healthcare systems, meeting capacities have been limited to eighteen citizens per meeting. This limitation means only eighteen public citizens will be permitted to Bristol, VA in-person City Council, Board, or Commission meetings for the foreseeable future. All individuals attending meetings in-person are required to wear a face covering. The city says people can still observe meetings remotely via livestream and by submitting public comments in advance.
