Press Conference Tuesday, Regarding Officer Involved Fatal Shooting In Wise County

Wise County and the City of Norton’s Commonwealth’s Attorney has called a Tuesday Press Conference concerning an officer involved fatal shooting that took place on July 17 in Appalachia, Virginia. Wise County Deputies were searching for the two missing juveniles when they found two people in a vehicle parked in bushes. The deputy ordered the two out of the vehicle that was parked in bushes. That’s when a 16 year old boy got out, fought with the deputy and stabbed the officer. The deputy shot the attacker, who died on the scene. The eleven AM press conference is being held at the Wise County Justice Center.
