Abingdon Offering Public A Chance To Enjoy 1864 Style Base Ball.

The Town of Abingdon, is offering you a chance to step back in time for some 1864 style Base Ball. The Abingdon Blues will take on The Wytheville Statesmen on Saturday October 9th. The chance to step back in time and enjoy, what was then a new game called Baseball is being played at Fairview Farm and Homestead and begins at one p.m. A rain date has been scheduled for Sunday October 10th. The teams will feature 1864 style uniforms and will play by the game’s original rules at the time.
