Virginia residents eligible for custom made QR code for COVID vaccination record

The Virginia Department of Health has established a website that allows residents to obtain a QR code to display their proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

The agency said with more businesses and employers requiring COVID records from consumers and employees the quick response option can provide instant access and protect individual privacy with codes available for downloads on cell phones or printed on paper.

Virginia becomes the fifth state to adopt the option which also provides security due to the digital stamp on the code from the health department.
