BVPD Chief Completes Promotions, Filling Senior Command Positions

Newly appointed Bristol Virginia Police Chief Matt Austin has promoted two of his officers to new jobs, to complete the final two vacancies in the senior command staff. Brian Hess has been named Captain of Support Services and Dannielle Eller will now serve as Captain of the Criminal Investigations Division. Chief Austin says the promotional process in the department is extremely competitive and the two captains performed well on both written and oral interviews and have the diverse experience to be successful in their new roles.
