ETSU providing free “Safe Bars” sexual assault prevention training to local bars and restaurants
East Tennessee State University’s College of Nursing has partnered with Safe Bars training to bring enhanced education and prevention of sexual assault to local bars and restaurants. This training program is now offered to local establishments for free. The online training equips employees with tips on how to recognize sexual harassment, and how to intervene without escalating a situation. When a business signs up for this free training, they are provided with links to the online module to send to all employees, as well as a supply of date rape drug test coasters. The Safe Bars training is available now for free to local businesses by emailing Lenee Hendrix at hendrixL@etsu.edu. More info here.
