Expansion Of Rural Internet Services Approved In Carter County
Residents living in some sections of rural Carter County can expect to see expansion and improvements to internet access. Commissioners recently voted to expand those services to the most rural area of the county. The county plans to spend two and a half million dollars, in addition to money already set aside for the more than ten million dollar project to bring internet access to rural Carter County residents. The State of Tennessee is providing seven million dollars and Federal funds are part of the American Rescue Plan.
