Promising Results From Historic Special Session On Tennessee Education
This past summer, Tennessee school districts launched a 160 million dollar enrichment program to help students get extra learning time and recover from a tough school year. Now, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is sharing encouraging data from around the state from this summer’s program of activities. Lee says Tennessee led the nation in getting students back in the classroom as well as providing academic support for students. In January of this year, Lee called legislators back to Nashville for a special session to address learning loss due to the COVID19 pandemic.
