Mount Rogers Health District Now Offering Pfizer Boosters To Certain Populations
Southwest Virginia’s Mount Rogers Health District is now offering booster doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to certain populations beginning Monday, September 27. Southwest Virginian’s over 65, those at risk of severe COVID-19, and those in high risk occupational or institutional settings. Currently, booster doses are only available to those who received the initial vaccine two dose series with the Pfizer vaccine. Mount Rogers will be offering Pfizer booster doses in local health departments in the City of Bristol, Washington, Wythe, and Smyth Counties and residents may call their individual department for an appointment.
