UPDATE: Daniel Boone student identified as juvenile who died from injuries in Kingsport incident

A teenager identified as a Daniel Boone High School student has died following injuries sustained in an incident in Kingsport earlier this month.

School officials confirmed that 16-year-old Jonathan Michael Coglianese had passed away after being treated at an area hospital.

A Kingsport Police Department report said the juvenile who suffered a head injury was either clinging to the outside or was sitting on the window sill of a pickup truck traveling on Patriot Way near Tri-Cities Crossing on Sept. 12 when he fell from the moving vehicle.
