Southwest Virginia Man Pleads Guilty To 17 Counts Of Child Porn

A southwest Virginia man is facing a 20 and 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to 17 counts of Production of Child Pornography. 42 year old William Dean Blankenship of Bland County was a previously convicted felon was arrested after WCV Sheriff’s officers and Virginia State Police executed a search warrant and discovered Blankenship had engaged in sexual acts with children and was in possession of child Pornography. More than 50 videos produced by Blankenship depicted him engaging in sexual intercourse with two minors on multiple occasions, who were believed to be between the ages of 14-13. Blankenship also offered the minors narcotics and other controlled substances. Blankenship will be sentenced in December.
