NET Reports Drop In COVID Cases From A Week Ago
As the controversy and numerous lawsuits continue over mask mandates for school age children in Tennessee, data released Monday from the Tennessee Department of Health shows 342 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Northeast Tennessee, that’s the fewest number of cases since August. School systems in the region still report high levels of community spread. However new cases are down 22 percent from a week ago, and 70 percent from a month ago with children ages five through 18.
