City of Johnson City awarded Four Star Award for renovation of King Commons
The City of Johnson City recently received a Four Star Award by the Tennessee Recreation and Parks Association. The city was recognized in the category of Renovated Facility for its work on King Commons. King Commons is Johnson City’s second storm water system designed to alleviate downtown flooding, while also serving as a park and leisure space for the community. The 3-acre site has been developed into a green-space that features a children’s play area and amphitheater, which has become extremely popular for local events.
