Virginia gas prices up 6.6 cents per gallon in past week

Virginia gas prices have risen 6.6 cents per gallon this past week. According to a GasBuddy report, the statewide average currently sits at $3.28 per gallon. This report comes from a daily survey of 4,081 gas stations in the Commonwealth. Gas prices in Virginia are 27.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, and over a dollar higher than a year ago. According to these GasBuddy reports, the most expensive gas in the state is up to $3.69, which is 33 cents higher than the current national average.
