Public Hearing Gets Underway Concerning Strategies To Assist Residents Near Bristol Landfill

In just a few hours, Bristol Virginia City Council members will open a called public meeting to discuss strategies to assist residents impacted by a rancid smell, wafting from the Bristol, Virginia Landfill into nearby neighborhoods. During a recently held meeting, citizens detailed the adverse conditions some are dealing with over the noxious odors. City staff is expected to discuss any legal action the locality plans to take regarding the ill effects from the landfill odors. That meeting begins this morning at eleven AM at the City Hall Annex Building. Meanwhile, Bristol, Virginia investigators continue to probe a break in that occurred at the landfill over the weekend.
