Appalachian Regional Commission Supporting Southwest Virginia Tourism Efforts
Tourism and outdoor recreation are important economic drivers in the coalfields of southwest Virginia. The Appalachian Regional Commission is making sure that industry continues making progress by awarding the Town of St. Paul Virginia almost 210 thousand dollars in grant funding. The funding will support site preparation, architectural and engineering design plans for the development of the Three Rivers Destination Center. The center will support ongoing efforts to make Southwest Virginia a destination for nature lovers and outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
