VSP: Fatal crash discovered on Oct. 31 in Wythe County believed to have happened on Oct. 23

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal crash in Wythe County that is believed to have occurred on October 23rd, but was only discovered on the 31st. A Ford Explorer pulling a utility trailer driven by David Parish of Woodlawn, Virginia was found overturned off of the roadway near Wysor Highway. Investigators say the car ran off the left side of the road, went over an embankment, and overturned. Parish was pronounced dead at the scene. Police confirmed he was wearing a seat belt. This crash remains under investigation.
