Johnson City man in jail after leading multiple police agencies through high-speed chase
A Johnson City man is behind bars after leading police on a high speed chase throughout two counties. 23-year-old Lucas Bulla was charged with felony evading arrest, reckless driving, and driving without a license after Johnson City Police say he fled during an attempted traffic stop.
According to a police report, JCPD officers attempted a traffic stop on a black Honda Civic going 84 in a 40 mph speed zone. The vehicle initially stopped, but quickly fled at a high rate of speed. Tennessee Highway Patrol officers located the vehicle soon after, which is when Bulla fled again, this time into Carter County. Police were able to stop Bulla and take him into custody, where he was charged with numerous offenses by both Washington and Carter County agencies.
