Remains found in Jonesborough in 2020 ID’d as woman from Asheville

Skeletal remains found in Washington County, Tennessee two years ago have been identified.

A report from Sheriff Keith Sexton’s office said DNA testing was conducted to determine the body was that of 41-year-old Brandy Shore of Asheville, North Carolina.

The remains were discovered in a remote wooded area off of Dry Creek Road in Jonesborough in July 2020. Foul play is not suspected in Shore’s death.
