Tennessee State Parks holding “My TN State Park” fundraiser; residents donate a dollar to vote for their favorite park

The Tennessee State Parks Department is hosting a fundraiser this month where community members can donate a dollar to vote for their favorite park in the state. According to AP News, each dollar given during this “My TN State Park” fundraiser will count as one vote for the selected park.

Funds raised from this campaign will support things such as trail and bridge repairs, aviary equipment, and child education activities. Last year, donations totaled to more than $96,000. Votes can be cast through the end of January on Tennessee State Parks’ website.
