Gas prices in Virginia increase one cent in past week; expected to increase more over next 6 weeks
Gas prices in Virginia have increased one cent in the past week, according to a report from Gas Buddy. The current average price of gas in Virginia is $3.15 per gallon. GasBuddy surveys more than 4,000 gas stations across the Commonwealth every day to collect information for these reports.
According to the report, the cheapest station in Virginia is priced at $2.75 per gallon, while the most expensive is $3.89– a difference of $1.14. GasBuddy officials say they expect a more significant increase over the next 4 to 6 weeks due to crude oil prices and increased travel after winter storms die down.
