Bristol Virginia City School Superintendent Says Southwest Virginia United In Keeping Schools Open, In Person Learning
Beginning today, following Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s signature of Executive Order 2 children attending Bristol, Virginia and other southwest Virginia public schools will attend class without a mask requirement mandate. In response, Bristol, Virginia’s City Schools Superintendent, Dr. Keith Perrigan has released a letter signed by Superintendents from Southwest Virginia, asking parents to consider the current status of COVID19 in Southwest Virginia as well as the spread of COVID19 in public schools and current guidelines for prevention when making the decision about masking their child. The letter goes on to say, Superintendents in Southwest Virginia are united in their desire to keep southwest Virginia school’s open for in person learning.
