Johnson City’s West Walnut Redevelopment Project continues in coming weeks; will cause detours, delays downtown
Work on Johnson City’s West Walnut Redevelopment Project trucks on in the coming weeks as crews continue installation of sewer lines and stormwater piping downtown. City officials say traffic flow in the area of West Walnut Street and West Watauga Avenue will be affected this week and next.
Drivers should practice caution on Earnest Street, West Watauga, West Walnut, and Sevier Street as detours will be in place. Those who cannot avoid this area in downtown Johnson City should expect delays this week and next.
