Sullivan County About Ready To Delve Out Thirty Million Dollars In COVID Relief Funds

For months Commissioners in Sullivan County, like many other surrounding governmental entities have been making and prioritizing a list of potential uses for an expected thirty million dollars in American Rescue Plan funds to arrive. The first allocation of those funds will be discussed next week in a called Sullivan County Commission meeting in Blountville. The money must some how be connected to relief efforts from the effects of the COVID19 pandemic. Requests for a piece of the financial pie have reached 38 million dollars, with many of the request calling for assistance with infrastructure and public health projects.
