The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says one person has been taken to the hospital following a Carter County officer involved shooting last night in Roan Mountain. Carter County Authorities responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Garland Road around nine Tuesday night. Officers were allegedly fired upon by the male suspect as they arrived on scene. The officers then returned fire, and SWAT team members entered the home and found the man suffering from a gun shot wound. The suspect was flown to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. No officers were injured in the shooting. This is a developing story and is still under active investigation.
