NETN COVID Case Rate Drops For First Time In Months
Northeast Tennessee’s COVID19 case rate is still well above the state average, but there is a glimmer of light beginning to emerge as those rates dropped significantly for the first time in months. From January 30 to February 5, Northeast Tennessee reported a 19 percent drop in new cases from the previous week. Carter, Greene, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan and Washington Counties all saw case rates drop last week, Unicoi County was the only municipality reporting an increase in new cases, with a 49 percent increase in new cases.
