Tennessee’s New License Plates May Not Be Fully Visible
You may already have yours, and at least you have seen one. Five and a half million new Tennessee, blue license plates may be viewable for motorists, but are those new plates fully visible to cameras being used in some cities across the Volunteer state? Apparently the new plates are not showing up on License Plate Recognition cameras used by some police agencies. After a review, the Department of Revenue says some of the license plates are difficult to see, especially in rain or snow and are blurry or invisible. The problem seems to be with the color used to create the plates and its reflection under infrared light.
