Victim In Carter County Officer-involved Shooting Dies From Injuries

A 55 year old man has died from injuries he sustained in an Officer Involved Shooting in Carter County Tuesday evening. The TBI says, Daniel Jospeh Spisso Jr, died Thursday after being taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries he received following an Officer Involve Shooting in the 200 block of Garland Road in Roan Mountain. Preliminary information indicates officers were fired upon by Spisso when they arrived on the scene. A SWAT team responded and made entry into the mobile home and found Spisso suffering from a gunshot wound
