Sullivan County hero named National Resource Officer of the Month

Sullivan County School Resource Officer Lacey Arnold has been honored for her heroics that helped save the life of a Bluff City homeowner.

Arnold was selected as the National Association of School Resource Officers Officer of the Month for her actions just a few weeks ago when she rushed to the house and found the owner who was unaware of the blaze taking place.

The students of Bluff City Elementary also played a part in the rescue as they observed the smoke coming from the home.
