Greeneville man arrested for public intoxication at movie theater
A Greeneville man was arrested Wednesday, 3/16, night after police responded to a call about him passed out at a movie theater. Greeneville Police arrived to the AMC Theater on West Andrew Johnson Hwy, where a manager told them a man was asleep in a theater, unable to be woken up.
Police made contact with 59-year-old William Bales, and according to a report, his eyes were red and glossy and he smelled of alcohol. When deputies ran his information, they saw he had an active warrant in Greene County for failure to appear. Bales was arrested for public intoxication and the warrant charge.
