Bear found in Greeneville neighborhood to be released in the mountains

Members of the Greeneville, Tennessee Fire Department gave some assistance to workers with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency on Wednesday when a wayward bear wandered into a residential neighborhood.

The bear was tranquilized and then loaded into a transport where the animal will be released into an adjacent remote mountain area, according to the GFD Facebook post.
