Johnson City Fire Department earns international accreditation
The Johnson City Fire Department says for the first time in department history, it received Accredited Agency status through the Commission of Fire Accreditation International (CFAI). This makes Johnson City’s Fire Department one of more than 300 worldwide, and one of only six statewide, to achieve this status.
Department officials say they began the process in 2017, and their exhaustive work paid off, as this Accredited Agency status led to the JCFD developing a continuous improvement model that will be used for years to come. Read more on City of Johnson City’s website.
