Council Members Approve Loan To Begin Replacement Of John Sevier Center
Johnson City’s 98 year old John Sevier Center will remain a public housing facility at least for the time being, now that City Council members approved a more than five million dollar loan, as a beginning point for replacing the center with nearly 150 new units. The city is currently working with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development as the two team up to move the project forward with a completion date estimated in December of 2025.
