United Way of Southwest Virginia lends a hand at Hurley clean-up day
The United Way of Southwest Virginia took part in a clean-up day in the Hurley community on Thursday. Employees collected trash, waste wood, metal, and plastic from the front of homes affected by flooding last summer.
United Way SWVA acts as the fiscal agent for the Hurley Long-Term Recovery Group. This week, twenty of the organization’s staff members took part in the clean-up, which resulted in the pickup of two truckloads of debris.
