UPDATE: Names of victims in Norton shooting released by State Police
The Virginia State Police has released more information on a Norton, Virginia shooting that left three people dead.
The report said that based on evidence collected it appears that 53-year-old Bryan C. Wampler entered the home located on Highland Avenue Northwest Sunday and killed his wife 53-year-old Vivan A. Wampler and his mother-in-law 81-year-old Elizabeth A. Sturgill. Police noted that a 911 call came from the residence prior to the shooting.
Investigators said Bryan Wampler then shot himself. A firearm was recovered at the scene and the case remains open.
