Report: Hawkins County woman struck two people while high on marijuana
A Hawkins County, Tennessee woman already jailed for her third DUI and second revoked license violation is charged with striking two people on the highway.
An arrest report says Audrey Jean Barnes, 47, was also served with a warrant for one count of aggravated vehicular assault while lodged in the county jail in Rogersville. Barnes’ previous arrest stems from an incident last week where she was observed by a deputy swerving while she drove. She later admitted she had been smoking marijuana at a friend’s house prior to driving.
Deputies said that Barnes hit two pedestrians with her car while they were moving an automobile out of the roadway in another arrest report.
