Kingsport: Sunday evening 5k to impact downtown traffic

A 5k race is happening on Sunday 4/24 in Kingsport, and city officials say some roads downtown will be closed to thru traffic. The “AmazinGrace 5k”, hosted by Kingsport First Baptist Church begins at 5:15 PM.

During this time, Sullivan, Main, Shelby, and Market Streets will be closed to runners only. Additionally, Clay Street will be closed from New Street to Sullivan Street from 4 to 8 PM for church activities. All roads will reopen at the conclusion of the event.
