Oversight In Preparation For Smith Execution, Results In Governor Lee Reprieve

An oversight in preparation for lethal injection, has led Tennessee Governor Bill Lee to issue a temporary reprieve for convicted murderer Oscar Smith. Smith was scheduled to be executed by lethal injection Thursday night, but just before nine pm , Lee issued the statement granting a temporary reprieve. Governor Lee says the State is addressing the Tennessee Department of Correction protocol for executions. Further details will be released when they become available.
