TBI: Assaults up, drug violations down on Tennessee’s college campuses
Crime on Tennessee’s college campuses decreased by 4 percent in 2021 according to the TBI’s annual report of incidents at state-funded campuses.
Larceny and theft accounted for 28 percent of total crime at those universities and other schools. Assaults, however, saw an 18 percent jump on school grounds last year.
Drug and narcotic violations decreased by nearly 15 percent.
