Scott County Sheriff reports shooting, stabbing victims found near Gate City

Scott County, Virginia Sheriff Jeff Edds said two people were injured following a confrontation near Gate City.

Edds’ report said officers responded to a call on Sunday and found one victim who had been shot while another had been stabbed.

Both individuals were hospitalized. The case remains under review. The sheriff noted that the incident appears to be isolated.
