Greeneville man drives wrong way, parks on sidewalk during DUI stop
A Greeneville man was arrested Monday night for DUI after a deputy witnessed him driving significantly under the speed limit and on the wrong side of the road. De Wayne Honeycutt was observed by Greeneville Police near Church Street driving around eight to twelve miles an hour, then making a turn into the oncoming traffic’s lane, driving the wrong way for nearly 250 feet.
Once a traffic stop was conducted, Honeycutt abruptly pulled into the correct lane, then up onto a sidewalk, where he parked. A field sobriety test was done, as well as a blood draw and Honeycutt was arrested for DUI.
