Virginia Governor Youngkin says $2.7 million grant funding will go to tourism, travel programs
To kick off National Travel and Tourism Week, Virginia Governor Youngkin announced more than $2.7 million in matching grant funding will be distributed to 259 local and regional tourism programs. Youngkin says, “Tourism is a major economic driver in the Commonwealth, providing and creating jobs and injecting critical dollars back into our communities.”
Regional and local programs set to receive funding include The City of Norton’s High Knob Outdoor Fest, Scott County’s Stay A Week. A Month. A Lifetime, the Town of Big Stone Gap’s Blue Highway Fest and the Smyth County Tourism Association, among others. Read more on the Virginia Governor’s official website.
