PRIMARY 2022: Incumbents return to general election ballot in Carter, Greene, Washington, and Unicoi

Washington County Mayor Joe Granby was victorious Tuesday night in his primary run defeating Commissioner Robbie Tester. It will be a rematch of the 2018 race as Granby faces James Reeves.

Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley, who announced earlier this year one final run in his career, was also a winner in the primaries and will likely earn another term in November.

Other unofficial winners announced Tuesday include Mark DeWitt in the race for Hawkins County Mayor, incumbent Carter County Mayor Patty Woodby, and incumbent Greene County Sheriff Wesley Holt.
