Appalachian Sustainable Development strengthens agriculture in SWVA
Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD) is partnering with several agencies in Southwest Virginia to boost economic growth and help feed hungry families. ASD is a nonprofit that supports our region by connecting farmers to resources and the community to fresh, healthy food.
The organization says it is working with YMCA-Tazewell to re-vamp a community garden. Then in Grundy, ASD launched a pollinator garden and apiary. Those wanting to get involved or find more information can do so on the Appalachian Sustainable Development’s website and social media.
